Car buying my way

I have found that Superior in Siloam Springs has always treated me with respect and dignity.  I’ve worked with Dillon Smith who made an effort to meet me when I could get to the dealership even if it was outside their normal operating hours.  I recently purchased a 2013 Ford Taurus to replace the Mercury Milan I bought a few years ago.  This was the 3rd vehicle I’ve purchased there, before I owned a Ford Focus.  I take my vehicles there for service as well; they have convenient Saturday service.

I’ve also worked with Clayton when my brother was looking at a Chevy Express van to transport his growing family.

It’s nice to have dependable transportation to get the kids to school, me to work and run the errands associated with the Single Moms of NWA ministry.

I found a new stylist, Whitney Kirkland, at Tickled Pink Salon on highway 412 in Siloam Springs that was kid friendly and did a great job on my hair.  I spent the afternoon with her and she trimmed my hair and provided me with a beautiful new look.  Hope you’ll stop by and check her out.  Salon hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10a to 5:30p and Saturday by appointment only.

Valentine’s aka Single Awareness Day

Posted in Encouragement, Humor Me | 02-05-2012

Hello friends

I just wanted to remind you of the joy you can have during this season even though you may no longer have a sweetheart to celebrate this holiday with.  If you are like me you can’t just ignore the holiday because the kids have school parties that you must prepare for so here is how I’m coping this season.  I spent Friday night with a singles group having dinner at NLC here in Siloam Springs.  It was wonderful to fellowship with others who love Jesus Christ as their lord and saviour.  We enjoyed an elegant dinner, played a few games and generally enjoyed the company of fellow single adults.   So during this season when we often get down and feel alone remember that the Lord is with you always and there are many other parents facing this day alone and participating in the festivities for their children’s sake.  So enjoy the moments we don’t ever get to relive them with our children again and remember that no matter how broken we feel and how unloved or unlovable; Christ still loves us and will be here with us every step of the way from Feb 1st, to Feb 14th and all the days between and after.  You don’t have to go it alone; he’s with you every step of the way.  God Bless and Happy Valentine’s Day!

A New Year 2012

I haven’t posted much in the last few months.  Things have gotten quite busy as often happens around the holidays, going back to school, etc.  I’m excited to see what the new year has to offer and what wonderful new experiences we’ll have in the coming year.  So hope you’ll stop in often and enjoy the posts about life, raising kids and following God.
